1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files saved by a website in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that can remember values without sending them automatically with every request. EU rules can apply to both. WikyPhone uses local storage for requested preferences and Google technologies for advertising, audience measurement and consent management.
2. Technologies currently used
| Name | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
wikyphone-language | Remembers English or Italian. | Necessary preference | Until deleted |
wikyphone-theme | Remembers light or dark appearance. | Necessary preference | Until deleted |
wikyphone-compare | Keeps the phones that you chose to compare. | Necessary functionality | Until cleared or deleted |
wikyphone-px-per-mm | Stores your voluntary actual-size screen calibration. | Necessary functionality | Until deleted |
| Google consent storage | Records advertising choices and vendor permissions through Google's certified consent platform. | Necessary consent record | According to the consent platform configuration or until deleted |
| Google AdSense and participating vendors | May use first- or third-party cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver, limit, personalise, protect and measure advertising according to your choice. Third-party cookies can be associated with doubleclick.net or Google domains. | Advertising | Varies by vendor and technology; details are shown in “Manage options” |
_ga | Google Analytics 4 first-party identifier used to distinguish users when analytics storage is allowed. | Analytics | 2 years by default |
_ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics 4 first-party storage used to persist session state when analytics storage is allowed. | Analytics | 2 years by default |
| Google Search Console | Administrative reporting for Google Search performance and indexing. WikyPhone does not add a separate Search Console cookie or visitor-side script. | Not a browser-storage technology on WikyPhone | Not applicable |
Google and participating vendors may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers and similar technologies according to the choices shown in the consent message. Exact advertising cookies and lifetimes depend on the vendors selected in Google's consent controls. Read how Google uses information from partner sites, Google's GA4 cookie documentation and its explanation of Search Console data.
3. Consent choices
Google's certified consent platform offers “Consent”, “Do not consent” and “Manage options”. You can choose advertising and analytics purposes separately. Consent Mode starts with advertising and analytics storage denied and applies your saved choice on later pages. When analytics storage is denied, GA4 does not store its client-identifier cookie; Google tags can still send limited cookieless consent and measurement signals. Refusing is as easy as accepting and does not block editorial content; where permitted, Google may show limited ads that do not rely on personalised-ad consent.
4. Changing or deleting your choice
Open “Privacy and cookie settings” in the footer to reopen Google's consent controls. You can also clear cookies and site data in browser settings; doing so removes saved language, theme, comparisons, calibration and consent. Browser privacy controls can block storage, but some requested features or advertising may no longer work as intended.
5. External links and updates
Merchant and affiliate sites can use their own technologies after you follow an external link. Their choices are not controlled by this banner. This policy will be updated when technologies or providers change. For questions, contact the data controller, Christian Pucci, at minimac@minimamente.com or read the Privacy Policy.
